Scott Hancock still considers himself a newcomer to Northwest Arkansas, even though he moved here over three years ago with his family. Scott spent his undergraduate years at Southern Methodist University, obtained an MBA at the University of Arkansas at Little Rock, then returned to his native Jonesboro to begin his banking career. As the Executive Vice President of Liberty Bank of Arkansas – NWA, Scott is responsible for the overall lending function throughout the region. He was recognized this year by Arkansas Business as a “40 Under 40” honoree in part because of his commitment to his community. He was the founding Chair of the Craighead County Community Foundation, member of Leadership Jonesboro and Leadership Fayetteville classes, and headed up the inaugural Liberty Bank Tennis Charity Challenge in 2008. Scott is known as “Santa” by many; most importantly, his wife of ten years, Christie, and their children, Rylie and Cade.
